“…The present study, in comparison, found no influence of child age, weight, BMI, child eating behaviors, or parental practices on the effect of milk ED on intake of milk, food, or the entire meal. Discrepancies in the results of these studies may be primarily due to research design and sample characteristics; for example, previous studies used a preloading paradigm in which the varied item was served before the test meal (Branton et al, 2014; Carnell & Wardle, 2007; Cecil et al, 2005; Johnson, 2000; Johnson & Birch, 1994; Johnson & Taylor-Holloway, 2006; Kral et al, 2012), whereas in the present study, the varied milk and test meal were served simultaneously.
