The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a type of label that has been considered reliable and complete, and it is commonly used in purchasing decisions, product design definition, environmental communication, data sources, and other applications. This article examines the approaches for the development of EPD in the Brazilian context, taking into account the initiatives of interested parties as well as the circumstances for its adoption by national firms. This work adds value by assessing which works in Brazilian literature and experiences focus on EPD, contextualizing the issue, and offering this type of label as a strategic resource. Between 2015 and 2022, the bibliographical survey uncovered 20 works. The Prisma 2020 checklist was utilized to conduct the systematic review, and the analysis in this study was both quantitative and qualitative. Since NBR ISO 14025 (2015), the publications have been consistent. Only 35% of the review content was obtained from journals, with 6 of the 7 publications resulting from academic works from their authors' postgraduate training processes, indicating a concentration of studies by a few scholars, all linked to universities in Brazil's south and southeast. Studies have shown that EPD is a valuable tool for environmental management due to its consistency, reliability, and completeness of data. However, due to a lack of Brazilian experience, this resource is not commonly known, disseminated, or employed. EPD has potential to be used as a strategic resource for businesses due to Brazil's normative, legal, and structural conditions for adoption.

Purpose: The objective of this work was to evaluate methods of charging urban drainage fees in order to finance and guarantee the maintenance and operation of a drainage network in a residential subdivision located in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Theoretical framework: The intense urban growth associated with the process of soil sealing in urban areas has caused, over the years, the increase in occurrence and intensity of disasters related to floods, in order to reduce the capacity of urban drainage systems to guarantee their optimal functioning. Method/design/approach: The methodology of this study used three different methods to calculate a drainage rate, through a classification of land use and occupation and maintenance values for the drainage network, as: Equivalent Residential Unit (URE), Tucci method (2002) and Cançado, Nascimento and Cabral method (2005). Results and conclusion: The values presented by the methodology entitled Equivalent Residential Unit reached the objectives and the method was selected with the determination of the impact generated by the possible collection of this fee, through data from the 2010 Census. The drainage network per lot were R$262.35 per year, with a total collection of R$24,398.49, compatible with the values found for maintenance of the drainage network in the allotment in the city of Rio de Janeiro-RJ, with an average impact of 0.70% on the income of users of this service. Research implications: The main contribution found by this study was the analysis of the economic and financial viability of the allotment users regarding the collection of a fee for maintenance and operation of the drainage system. Originality/value: This article proposes to present a fee that can finance the maintenance of the existing drainage network, in order to mitigate the effects of flooding on the site and eliminate the financial impact of this service on public coffers.

Objetivo: O objetivo geral do presente trabalho é investigar, comparar, e analisar a estratégia green marketing de empresas do segmento de cosméticos no Brasil. Referencial teórico: O marketing verde é um recurso bastante utilizado pela indústria e comércio. No ramo de cosméticos, tem crescido na produção de produtos sustentáveis. O propósito do estudo é apresentar algumas empresas que utilizam esses recursos e como o markting verde é presente e atuante nos lucros e imagem dessas empresas. O quadro teórico é construído em torno de estudos da literatura acerca de marketing verde, indústria de cosméticos, Eco-friendly, Greenwashing e Green-Friendly. Método: O trabalho é conduzido por meio de revisão narrativa da literatura nas plataformas de busca livres e oficiais acadêmicas. Resultados e conclusão: observou-se que algumas empresas possuem mais produtos verdes que outras do mesmo ramo de atividade. Isso se dá por uma necessidade competitiva e perfil empresarial. Algumas delas apresentam diferenças quanto ao tipo de apelo. De um modo geral, muitas empresas tendem a focar na demanda de um público-alvo oferecendo produtos como vaganos ou biodegradáveis para oferecer ao mercado um diferencial. Outro fator decisivo para o foco do apelo ambiental oferecido pela empresa, pode estar na facilidade de manufatura, já que a empresa tende a buscar o lucro diminuindo o custo e potencializando os ganhos Implicações da pesquisa: As estratégias de marketing verde trazem uma nova perspectiva à exploração do segmento ecológico, proporcionando melhorias na imagem institucional, com o intuito de influenciar na decisão de compra dos seus clientes e sua consciência pelo consumo mais sustentável. Por outro lado, o interesse na lucratividade sem responsabilidade leva a prática de Greenwash de propagandas com apelo ambiental, compreendido como uma desinformação disseminada por uma organização que deseja apresentar uma imagem ambientalmente responsável. O texto é elaborado com o propósito de estabelecer uma síntese crítica a partir dos conhecimentos e relatos da literatura, investigação das veiculações marketing verde de empresas cosméticas brasileiras confrontadas com a investigação das práticas efetivas ou verdadeiras. Originalidade/valor: o estudo analisa de que forma o termo verde é estrategicamente utilizado em campanhas publicitárias e discute o papel da metaforização do termo.
