While an outgrowth of work published by history teacher-researchers has emerged in the last fifteen years (Kohlmeier, 2005; Manfra, 2009; Martell, 2013b, 2015; Martell & Hashimoto-Martell, 2012; Martell & Sequenzia, 2016; McCormick, 2008; VanSledright, 2002a, 2002b; Virgin, 2014), the conditions under which these history teachers are reflecting require time and space not normally privileged to in-service history teachers (Manfra, 2017).
