The coffee berry borer (CBB), Hypothenemus hampei Ferrari (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Scolytinae) is the primary arthropod pest of coffee plantations worldwide. Since its detection in Hawaii (September 2010), coffee growers are facing financial losses due to reduced quality of coffee yields. Several control strategies that include cultural practices, biological control agents (parasitoids), chemical and microbial insecticides (entomopathogenic fungi), and a range of post-harvest sanitation practices have been conducted to manage CBB around the world. In addition, sampling methods including the use of alcohol based traps for monitoring CBB populations have been implemented in some coffee producing countries in Latin America. It is currently unclear which combination of CBB control strategies is optimal under economical, environmental, and sociocultural conditions of Hawaii. This review discusses components of an integrated pest management program for CBB. We focus on practical approaches to provide guidance to coffee farmers in Hawaii. Experiences of integrated pest management (IPM) of CBB learned from Latin America over the past 25 years may be relevant for establishing strategies of control that may fit under Hawaiian coffee farmers’ conditions.

<div><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="left"><tbody><tr><td align="left" valign="top"><p class="AbstractText">Indonesia has enacted a number of regulations dealing with issues of mining governance, and governance. However, the issuance of these various laws and regulations has resulted in illegal mining crimes resulting in environmental damage. The purpose of this study is to analyze sustainable mining governance policies in Indonesia, Africa and Germany. This research method uses a doctrinal legal approach. Resources have been compiled through an examination of mineral and coal mining laws and regulations, governance and environmental governance regulations, as well as reports from various authorities on the same subject. The results of this study show how Indonesia's previous mining law policies recognized local governments as the authority for licensing and monitoring mining activities. This policy was revoked based on the latest governance regulations and had an impact on the vacancy in monitoring mining activities at the district/city level, as a result of this vacancy there was environmental damage due to illegal mining and bad mining activities so that it was necessary to strengthen government policies in monitoring mineral and coal mining. Mining governance policies in Indonesia, Africa and Germany are currently starting to lead to environmental sustainability.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>

Introducción: El riesgo es una medida del peligro que se materializa en determinadas condiciones y genera daños a las personas, equipos y al ambiente que normalmente se califica en una escala que mide probabilidad, ocurrencias y niveles que determinan el actuar del empleador. Objetivo: Determinar los riesgos laborales en personal operario de la empresa Movitecnica S.A Chorrillos 2022. Metodología: Estudio de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo de corte transversal. La población está conformada por 100 operarios, se trabajó con 80 operarios obtenidos por muestreo probabilístico, que reunieron criterios de inclusión y exclusión; la técnica utilizada fue una encuesta y como instrumento un cuestionario en escala Likert validado por la OSHA 2013, se realizó una prueba piloto para determinar la validez de criterio de coeficiente (R. de Pearson 0.47); asimismo, se determinó su confiabilidad a través del coeficiente alfa Cronbach (0.78). Resultados: Los riesgos laborales en el personal operario en forma global predomina el nivel medio con un 50%, en cada dimensión el nivel de riesgo fue medio. Riesgo mecánico 52%, riesgo físico 49%, riesgo ergonómico 85%el riesgo Psicosocial de 60%, sin embargo, en la dimensión riesgo químico predomina el nivel bajo un 50%.
