Posttraumatic Lung Injury After Pulmonary Contusion and Fat Embolism: Factors Determining Abnormal Gas Exchange

Abstract: Gas exchange deteriorates because of decreased CO. For any preexisting intrapulmonary shunt, the decrease of PvO2 will cause worsening of Pao2.
