However, a large number of fungicides have been reported to be effective against this particular pathogen (B. dothidea) worldwide, but intermittent and faulty use of distinct chemicals over the years has led to the development of environmental contamination and health hazards (Okigbo and Ogbomaya, 2006 For these reasons, it is necessary to develop new and effective control methodologies that are safe and show an insignificant risk to consumer health and environment.…”
