Post-COVID-19 psychosocial intervention in healthcare professionals (Intervención psicosocial postCOVID-19 en personal sanitario)

Abstract: This brief article presents an analysis of the potential consequences of the COVID-19 epidemic for healthcare professionals within a social psychology framework. It also includes several suggestions for designing psychosocial intervention strategies for the post-emergency phase. “…Healthcare workers may be the professional group that is suffering from the consequences of COVID-19 the most, since in Spain the official number of infected healthcare workers accounts for around 15% of the total. Martín-Aragón-Gelabert and Terol-Cantero (2020) analyse some of the consequences that this epidemic may have on Spanish healthcare workers and offer several suggestions on how to design strategic lines of psychosocial intervention when the emergency is over.
