Possible coexistence of principal and tilted axis rotation in103Ag

Abstract: The high spin states of 103 Ag have been populated through the 76 Ge( 35 Cl,␣4n␥) 103 Ag reaction using 132-MeV 35 Cl beam. The presence of a positive parity ground state band and two negative parity bands decaying predominantly by M1 transitions in 103 Ag has been confirmed. In addition, seven new crossover E2 transitions have been observed in the negative parity bands. The experimental B(M 1)/B(E2) ratios are compared with the values obtained from the Dönau geometric formula for the negative parity bands bas… Show more

“…The evolution of magnetic rotation with the growing number of neutrons can also be observed for bands with the configuration πg 9/2 ⊗[h 11/2 (g 9/2 /d 5/2 ) 1 ] in 103,105,107 Ag, which was reproduced by the TAC model in Ref. [34].…”

“…However, band 2 in Ref. [10] does not exhibit significant lineshapes for any but the uppermost (516 keV) transition; therefore, a lineshape analysis for this band was not possible. Examples of the lineshape fits for the representative transitions are shown in Fig.…”

“…Previous studies have established high spin level structures of 103 Ag [10], 105 Ag [11], and 106 Ag [12] using heavy-ion fusion evaporation reactions. The partial level schemes of 103 Ag, 105 Ag, and 106 Ag pertinent to the present work have been adopted from these studies Fig.…”
