Possibilities of automated image analysis in pathology

Abstract: Pathology is one of the most dynamically developed medical specialties. The wide spread of whole-slide imaging systems has leaded to the development of microscopic image analysis software. This review shows the possibilities of these programs and their role in the routine work of a pathologist.
