The declaration of the COVID-19 pandemic forced humanity to rethink how we teach and learn. The metaverse, a 3D digital space mixed with the real world and the virtual world, has been heralded as a trend of future education with great potential. However, as an emerging item, rarely did the existing study discuss the metaverse from the perspective of education. In this paper, we first introduce the visions of the metaverse, including its origin, definitions, and shared features. Then, the metaverse in education is clearly defined, and a detailed framework of the metaverse in education is proposed, along with in-depth discussions of its features. In addition, four potential applications of the metaverse in education are described with reasons and cases: blended learning, language learning, competence-based education, and inclusive education. Moreover, challenges of the metaverse for educational purposes are also presented. Finally, a range of research topics related to the metaverse in education is proposed for future studies. We hope that, via this research paper, researchers with both computer science and educational technology backgrounds could have a clear vision of the metaverse in education and provide a stepping stone for future studies. We also expect more researchers interested in this topic can commence their studies inspired by this paper.

Since Facebook officially changed its name to Metaverse in Oct. 2021, the metaverse has become a new norm of social networks and three-dimensional (3D) virtual worlds. The metaverse aims to bring 3D immersive and personalized experiences to users by leveraging many pertinent technologies. Despite great attention and benefits, a natural question in the metaverse is how to secure its users' digital content and data. In this regard, blockchain is a promising solution owing to its distinct features of decentralization, immutability, and transparency. To better understand the role of blockchain in the metaverse, we aim to provide an extensive survey on the applications of blockchain for the metaverse. We first present a preliminary to blockchain and the metaverse and highlight the motivations behind the use of blockchain for the metaverse. Next, we extensively discuss blockchain-based methods for the metaverse from technical perspectives, such as data acquisition, data storage, data sharing, data interoperability, and data privacy preservation. For each perspective, we first discuss the technical challenges of the metaverse and then highlight how blockchain can help. Moreover, we investigate the impact of blockchain on key-enabling technologies in the metaverse, including Internet-of-Things, digital twins, multi-sensory and immersive applications, artificial intelligence, and big data. We also present some major projects to showcase the role of blockchain in metaverse applications and services. Finally, we present some promising directions to drive further research innovations and developments towards the use of blockchain in the metaverse in the future.

In order to solve the problem of accurately mining the power consumption characteristic data of power users, this paper proposes a research on power user network data mining algorithms based on multi-information fusion. In the past, the mining methods based on neural networks and cure algorithms were affected by noise data, resulting in low mining accuracy. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a user-complex power consumption feature mining method based on the K-means clustering algorithm. In the K-means clustering algorithm, the principle of mining complex power consumption characteristics of users is studied, and the data are cleaned, integrated, and preprocessed by protocol transformation to avoid noise interference. The information entropy principle is used to cluster the matrix to regularize the feature points. According to the complex power consumption characteristics, the power consumption feature points are determined through the cluster, the distance between the clusters is calculated, the power consumption feature information gain is obtained, and the user complex power consumption feature mining is completed. The experimental results show that the mining accuracy of this method is up to 99%, providing users with better quality services. Conclusion. The automatic control performance of the system is good, and the acquisition results are accurate and reliable.
