Alcohol intoxication has a dangerous effect on human health and is often associated with a risk of catastrophic injuries and alcohol-related crimes. A demand to address this problem adheres to the design of new sensor systems for the real-time monitoring of exhaled breath. We introduce a new sensor system based on a porous hydrophilic layer of submicron silica particles (SiO 2 SMPs) placed on a onedimensional photonic crystal made of Ta 2 O 5 /SiO 2 dielectric layers whose operation relies on detecting changes in the position of surface wave resonance during capillary condensation in pores. To make the active layer of SiO 2 SMPs, we examine the influence of electrostatic interactions of media, particles, and the surface of the crystal influenced by buoyancy, gravity force, and Stokes drag force in the frame of the dipcoating preparation method. We evaluate the sensing performance toward biomarkers such as acetone, ammonia, ethanol, and isopropanol and test sensor system capabilities for alcohol intoxication assessment. We have found this sensor to respond to all tested analytes in a broad range of concentrations. By processing the sensor signals by principal component analysis, we selectively determined the analytes. We demonstrated the excellent performance of our device for alcohol intoxication assessment in real-time.

This paper is to progress a barring and controlling structure for automotive engines so that, the vehicle will not commence without checking the presence of alcohol mechanism and even in safe journey, it would continuously check alcohol consumption. This module will yield the benefit of a previous existence and upcoming existence using Alcohol sensor. Our developed instrument is based on the GPS and GSM technology. Without any guidance of web service one can directly communicate embedded system with mobile through interfacing GSM to Microcontroller. GPS unit receives the exact location of automobile with meridians and parallels. The next process can be implemented by sending messages to respective owners of the vehicles via GSM. Once the engine off, engine control can be handover to the owner or relatives. Ultrasonic Device is also used to prevent the collision with other ground vehicles due to the occurrence of sudden engine off. The expected design for the accident deterrence module can be applied in our day -to- day life in order to upsurge road safety.

According to the risk investigations of being involved in an accident, alcohol-impaired driving is one of the major causes of motor-vehicles accidents. Preventing highly intoxicated persons from driving would potentially save many lives. This paper proposes a lightweight in-vehicle alcohol detection that processes the data generated from 6-alcohol sensors (MQ-3 Alcohol Sensors) using an optimizable shallow neural network (O-SNN). The experimental evaluation results exhibit a high-performance detection system scoring a 99.8% of detection accuracy with a very short inferencing delay of 2.22 µ seconds. Hence, the proposed model can be efficiently deployed and used to discover in-vehicle alcohol with high accuracy and low inference overhead as a part of the driver alcohol detection system for safety (DADSS) system aiming at massive deployment of alcohol sensing systems that could potentially save thousands of lives annually.
