An optical resolution membrane with a high performance has been prepared. This one-handed helical polymer membrane containing onehanded helical channels was prepared by using quantitative helix-sense selective decomposition with circularly polarized light of the corresponding racemic helical polyacetylene membrane without solvents and reagents. However, enantioselectivities of previously reported optical resolution membranes with no channels were very low because they had to be very dense to show their enatioselectivities. In this study, because this chiral membrane contained a lot of one-handed helical channels, they showed much higher enantioselectivities and permeabilities for several racemates than chiral polymer membranes with no chiral channels.
