“…Water 2019, 11, x FOR PEER REVIEW 5 of 16 shifted slightly upward, which exhibited the enhanced thermal stability of the CNIM due to the presence of CNTs [47]. The contact angles of the unmodified PP and CNIM for pure water and salt solution are shown as above in Figure 4.…”

“…It can be seen from the TGA curves that both membranes are quite stable within the operating temperature ranges. The initial weight loss of the membrane was started at~270 • C and it completely decomposed at~380 • C. The TGA curve for CNIM shifted slightly upward, which exhibited the enhanced thermal stability of the CNIM due to the presence of CNTs [47].…”

“…Similar surface morphology of CNT/PP composites has been observed in some other research works. 31,32 Figure 3(e) and (f) indicates that the addition of HAp-CNT in the PP matrix brings better uniformity for dispersion of nanomaterial within the polymer matrix. In comparison to CNT/PP composites, the surface of nanotubes present in the crosssection of tensile fractured HAp-CNT/PP composites is conical.…”

“…Spectroscopic analysis, such as infrared, Raman, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopies, is the most commonly applied method to evaluate the structural changes of plastics during degradation evolution. Taking infrared spectroscopy as an example, the change of carbonyl group has been regarded as an important index to evaluate the state of plastics. , However, carbonyl groups can be widely found in acids, ketones, aldehydes, or esters . As a result, the species and the molecular weights (MWs) of degradation products cannot be accurately identified by infrared spectroscopy.…”
