Polymorphisms in PDCD1 gene are not associated with aplastic anemia in Chinese Han population

Abstract: Programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) has recently been reported to have a genetic association in several autoimmune diseases. The object of this study was to investigate the association of PD-1 polymorphisms with aplastic anemia (AA) in the Chinese Han population. In a case-control association study, three single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP), PD-1.3 G/A, PD-1.5 C/T, and PD-1.9 T/C, were genotyped in 166 AA patients and 264 healthy controls using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism as… Show more

“…Furthermore, two recent studies suggested that the nonsynonymous Val215Ala SNP in the intracellular domain of PD-1 might also affect signal transduction. 19,20 We therefore focused on determining whether the PD-1.9 C/T SNP affected the development of SSPE. We found a lower frequency of the PD-1 rs2227982 T allele in Turkish SSPE patients.…”

“…Among single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the human PD-1 gene (PDCD1) region, PD-1.1 G/A (rs36084323) was reported to have connection with autoimmune diseases [ 13 ]. Previous studies suggested that nonfunctional SNPs could affect gene function through haplotype tagging [ 14 ]. In this work, PD-1.1 G/A (rs36084323), a nonfunctional SNPs in PDCD1, was studied in a Chinese Han population, aiming to explore whether PD-1 expression was related to the variant of the SNP PD-1.1 G/A (rs36084323) and SLE Disease Activity Index (SLEDAI).…”

“…In power system,peak-valley difference increases year by year, generation and T&D systems invest heavily to meet short-term peak load demand each year,so equipment utilization is inefficiency [1].Distribution network introduced BESS can do load shifting [2],reduce investment of power building capacity, decrease system losses, and make use of TOU price to reduce electricity tariff, meanwhile improving distribution system power supply reliability to minimize power losses.…”
