Polyamidfasern

Abstract: Synthesefasern haben die Textilwelt revolutioniert und sind aus ihr nicht mehr wegzudenken. Die erste dieser Synthesefasern, die einen raschen und nachhaltigen Erfolg erzielen konnte, war Nylon, das Wallace Hume Carothers 1935 aus der Taufe gehoben hat. In diesem Jahr gelang es ihm und seinen Mitarbeitern erstmals, aus Hexamethylendiamin und Adipinsäure ein gut verspinnbares und hoch schmelzendes Polyamid zu polykondensieren.
