Abstract:The Southern African Alliaceae Borkh. is represented by four genera (Allium L., Nothoscordum Kunth, Tulbaghia L. and Prototulbaghia Vosa) and 28 species. The pollen morphology of the endangered monotypic genus Prototulbaghia has not been described before.
