O artigo é um esforço de síntese para apresentar uma subárea dos estudos sobre esportes nas ciências sociais no Brasil, denominada de Antropologia das Práticas Esportivas. Trata-se de descritor acadêmico que visa articular os usos de algumas noções que definem o vasto campo de experiências lúdicas com a produção contextual de dados empíricos. Modelos sociológicos de amplo espectro, que operam noções como jogo e esporte, são colocados à prova das experimentações etnográficas. Objetiva-se alcançar paisagens mais descontínuas por intermédio da relação entre duas faculdades sensíveis, jogar e olhar, constitutivas de um modelo denominado de modelo das relações. O exame da dialética entre olhar e jogar permite que fenômenos esportivizados distintos, desde a ubíqua prática do futebol a uma determinada luta corporal xinguana, ambas analisadas do ponto de vista da categoria torcer, mantenham as possibilidades analíticas comparativas na diferença.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Antropologia das Práticas Esportivas, corporalidades, modelos etnográficos.Playing, fighting, rooting for: ethnographic gazes on football and Amerindian rituals  The article is a synthesis effort to present a sub-area of sports studies in social sciences in Brazil, called Anthropology of Sportives Practices. It is an expression that articulates the uses of some notions that define the vast field of playful experiences with the contextual production of empirical data. Broad spectrum sociological models that operate notions such as games and sports are put to the test of experiments and extensions of ethnographic models. In this case, the objective is to achieve more discontinuous landscapes in which the meanings of what we define by "to play" and "to watch" -sensitives faculties that orders expressive corporealities -assume a more universal symbolic nexus than properly historical phenomena, such as games, hobbies and sports. The examination of the dialectic between watch and play allows different sportive practices, such as football and a specific Xingu wrestling, analyzed from the point of view of the category "cheers" (fans), to maintain their comparative properties in the difference.

Hydrogen-based shaft furnace technology holds promise for low-carbon hydrogen metallurgy. Since hydrogen-assisted iron ore reduction is highly endothermic, inadequate heat supply relevant to the contact of gas and densely packed ores may reduce the rate and efficiency of reductions. The key to addressing this issue lies in understanding the competition among heat supply, heat transfer, and heat loss driven by the gas flow around ores and reactions within them. Modeling and simulation are crucial for revealing the underlying mechanisms and promoting process scale-up and intensification. This review summarizes previous efforts in physical modeling and model applications for improving the reduction performance. The discrete element method (DEM) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)− DEM models have been used for particle-scale simulation to investigate inhomogeneous particle descent and relevant particle−particle interactions. For macroscale simulations, steady-state simplified models such as plug flow and REDUCTOR, as well as the Eulerian two-phase model, have been developed by considering heat and mass transfer. Based on these model applications, strategies including the optimization of operating conditions and gasfeeding methods have been proposed to improve the furnace performance. Further numerical efforts are needed to analyze the infurnace heat evolution and reduction and reveal the competitiveness of flow, transport, and reaction by incorporating multiscale physics in shaft furnaces. Additionally, attention could be paid to the effects of particle sticking and degradation on reduction, which may be more serious when the proportion of lump ores increases. When evaluating relative optimization strategies, comprehensive comparisons are expected in terms of iron ore reduction degree, gas utilization rate, energy consumption, and economic feasibility under various reducing and cooling gas operating conditions and furnace profiles to offer practical guidelines for industrial design and intensification.

Kindene wrestling is one of the most frequently recorded practices in the Upper Xingu, from the pioneering expeditions of the 19th century to researchers who worked toward the demarcation of the Indigenous Land in the mid-20th century. Even with the recent demographic increase of peoples and the diversification of ethnographic themes addressed, the kindene remains the subject of succinct, if acute, descriptions. Despite this epiphenomenal character, in the midst all the ritual sumptuousness in which it is primarily disputed wrestling mobilizes political strife involving the chieftaincy; historical rivalries that span generations; transformations that consolidate regional systems; emotions and performances between wrestlers and fans. The dynamics of ritual organization, especially of the egitsü, a post-funeral ceremony in honour of chiefs, shuffles inter-ethnic relations. Such configurations promote alliances and oppositions that affect the formation of teams, and, consequently rearranges the fans at each event. This article gives greater visibility to the relations between playing and cheering, mediated by the faculty of looking, in the celebrations of victories, indicating the transformations unleashed in the relational universe of the peoples of the region. Fundamental positions for ritual combats, the nginiko ("onlookers"), bring to light new angles to deal with the complexity of relationships in the context of the so-called pax xinguana.Upper Xingu.
