“…Assuming L w 500 cm-1 [ll, 13, 161, we obtain Pa, w 40 cm-1, Fopt = F46 NN 70 cm-l. I n [15] the values Fa, w 44 cm-l, F4s w 60 cm-1 were obtained from the measured decay times of anthracene lumines-cence. As for the curve y ( w ) , its long-wavelength tail (below the frequency w,,) taken from [15], shown in Fig.…”

“…The investigations of the polariton effects [14] and the kinetic characteristics [15] of the low-temperature exciton luminescence from anthracene crystal showed that the decay parameter y is essentially frequency dependent. The measurement of the time-resolved characteristics of luminescence from anthracene made it possible to estimate the values of y ( w ) near the bottom of the exciton band, in the region of the long-wavelength tail of the lowest exciton band of the crystal [15]. However, no explicit form of the dependence y ( w ) in the frequency region above the bottom of the exciton band, although experimentally verified, is available.…”

“…If the dependence f (v) is known (for example, from experimental data [7,9]), then applying (4), (5), (ll), and (14) one may solve the inverse problem, i.e. determine the form of cp(q) and in this way, by using relations (6), (7), (12) and (17), (18) (which connect the frequency with the quasimomentum), to calculate the function q ( q ) for the above-mentioned cases.…”

“…Thus optical phonons lead to a linear dependence of line half-width upon temperature; at the same time the slope depends upon the character of the external medium. [7] the absence of the 0-0 band at frequency coo is explained by the predominance of phonon scattering probability over the probability of luminescence. Here wD is the Debye frequency.…”
