Some Correlation between Exciton–Phonon Coupling Function and Phonon Damping

Abstract

For isotropic systems the direct correlation between the exciton or polariton damping function T(v) and the coupling function q ( 4 ) in a general form is obtained for the cases of their interaction both with longitudinal optical (LO) and longitudinal acoustic (LA) phonons. O n the basis of such calculations it is shown how from the known T(v) dependence one can judge on the explicit q(q) form.
