The application of character education in the family environment is intended to shape the attitude or behavior of a child, as well as strengthen religious values and work spirit based on local spiritual and culture. This study focuses on how the efforts and roles of parents in Bulutellue Village in familiarizing their children with religious character and hard work in everyday life. This research was conducted by collecting data through observation and interviews. The data is then analyzed and given meaning based on the results of the relevant studies. The results of the study indicate that prioritizing religious character and hard work towards children cannot be separated from the position of Islam as the cultural basis of society. Parents have an important role in getting used to religious character and hard work by communicating well and setting an example. The activeness of parents in establishing communication and setting an example has formed the personality of children who are religious, diligent in studying, and diligent in work.
