Abstract: Nosocomial infections is an infection acquired in the hospital in patients treated for at least 72 hours (3x24 hours). Environmental infection caused by bacteria from an existing object within the hospital. Microorganisms are often potentially causing nosocomial infections are Proteus sp., Escherichia colii, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
