In this study, ultrasonic radiation zero-valent iron is used to remove tetracycline hydrochloride in aqueous solution. Zero-valent iron was characterized by SEM and XRD. The mechanism of tetracycline hydrochloride removal process by zero-valent iron was proposed. The effects of initial pH, zerovalent iron dosage, ultrasonic power and tetracycline hydrochloride concentration on the removal of tetracycline hydrochloride in the US-ZVI system were studied in detail. The US-ZVI system produces strong reducing agent •H and new Fe 2+ , which can rapidly reduce tetracycline hydrochloride. The results show that with the US-ZVI system, a lower initial pH helps accelerate the removal of tetracycline hydrochloride. In addition, with the US-ZVI system, with the increase of initial zero-valent iron dosage can promote the degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride. However, compared with pH, the zerovalent iron dosage has less effect on the degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride. In addition, the ultrasonic wave improves the degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride by zero-valent iron. The higher the ultrasonic power, the better the removal effect of tetracycline hydrochloride. However, the initial tetracycline hydrochloride dosage has hardly affected on the degradation efficiency of tetracycline hydrochloride. And the improvement of degradation rate is mainly due to the synergy between US and ZVI. Then, the recycling experiments were carried out. Finally, according to liquid chromatographymass spectrometry results, the degradation pathway of tetracycline hydrochloride was proposed.

A tubo-ovarian abscess (TOA) is a common type of inflammatory lump in clinical practice. TOA is an important, life-threatening disease, and it has become more common in recent years, posing a major health risk to women. Broad-spectrum antimicrobial agents are necessary to cover the most likely pathogens because the pathogens that cause TOA are polymicrobial. However, the response rate of antibiotic treatment is about 70%, whereas one-third of patients have poor clinical consequences and they require drainage or surgery. Rising antimicrobial resistance serves as a significant reason for the unsatisfactory medical outcomes. It is important to study the antibiotic resistance mechanism of TOA pathogens in solving the problems of multi-drug resistant strains. This paper focuses on the most common pathogenic bacteria isolated from TOA specimens and discusses the emerging trends and epidemiology of resistant Escherichia coli, Bacteroides fragilis, and gram-positive anaerobic cocci. Besides that, new methods that aim to solve the antibiotic resistance of related pathogens are discussed, such as CRISPR, nanoparticles, bacteriophages, antimicrobial peptides, and pathogen-specific monoclonal antibodies. Through this review, we hope to reveal the current situation of antibiotic resistance of common TOA pathogens, relevant mechanisms, and possible antibacterial strategies, providing references for the clinical treatment of drug-resistant pathogens.

Die Antibiotikaresistenz von Mikroorganismen, die für Infektionen des Urogenitaltraktes verantwortlich sind, ist ein klinisch relevantes Problem in der Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe. Gleichzeitig wird die Resistenzprüfung aufgrund methodologischer Schwierigkeiten sehr selten eingesetzt, so dass genaue Angaben über die Epidemiologie der Antibiotikaresistenz bei den meisten Erregern fehlen. In verschiedenen Regionen scheint die Antibiotikaresistenz von Trichomonas vaginalis und Gardnerella vaginalis (Metronidazol), Streptococcus agalactiae (Makrolide, Clindamycin), Mycoplasma hominis (Tetracycline, bei vorbestehender intrinsischer Resistenz gegen Makrolide) zuzunehmen. Zusätzlich wurden Einzelfälle klinischer Infektionen durch multiresistente Chlamydia trachomatis berichtet. Das Vorliegen einer Antibiotikaresistenz sollte deshalb bei unbefriedigendem klinischem Verlauf in Betracht gezogen werden. Angesichts der zunehmenden Resistenzproblematik und der zum Teil grossen Wissenslücken sollten die Forschungsanstrengungen auf dem Gebiet der Antibiotikaresistenz bei gynäkologischen Infektionen intensiviert werden.
