Planar monopole antennas for digital TV, design, and measurement

Abstract: This article covers the design and evaluation of two wideband, low-cost elliptical planar monopole antennas designed for the Brazilian Digital TV System. The antennas had their performance evaluated in terms of their scattering parameters as well as in field measurements in a densely urbanized area, using a spectrum analyzer.
