“…For the PLA, it is possible to observe the T cc as an exothermic peak due to the crystallization of the polymer chains during cooling and two endothermic transitions due to the melting of the PLA crystalline domains (T m1 and T m2 ). An important consideration is the similar enthalpies of the two contiguous processes, indicating a low crystalline character of the PLA used [ 34 ]. The presence of two T m indicates polymorphism of the different crystal structures present in the PLA mixture.…”

“…The X‐ray diffraction (Siemens D5000 diffractometer) patterns of the MgO nanoparticles were analyzed using Ni‐filtered Cu Kα radiation ( λ = 0.154 nm). FTIR spectra were collected in a Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometer (Bruker Vector 22 FTIR), and samples were combined with KBr for analysis in the wavelength range from 4000 to 500 cm −1 at room temperature, 64 scans of accumulation, and a resolution of 4 cm −1 36 …”

“…Using hydroxyapatite with micro-and nano-particles as filler, Zaharescu et al studied the effect of prepared PLA composite film with excellent gas barrier performance, high strength, and toughness, which showed promising prospect to be applied in the field of pharmaceutical packaging (Zhou et al, 2016). Antimicrobial and photodegradation properties of PLA/ CaO nanocomposites were studied by Loyo et al (2022). Results of their experiments showed that incorporating CaO nanoparticles into the PLA could be an applicable strategy for development of eco-friendly new medical packaging and devices.…”
