Pigment Granules in Iris Pigment Epithelium of Diabetics

Abstract: The iris pigment epithelium of four diabetics has been studied with special reference to its fine structure. Some of the pigment granules were seen to have undergone changes, being apparently in a state of disintegration. Further, accumulation of glycogen was noticed in the cells and in the intercellular spaces.
