“…There was no peak located around 560 nm, indicating the absence of nanoparticle aggregation (Kora et al 2010;Velmurugan et al 2015). Similar SPR was observed for AgNPs synthesized using the aqueous extract of Prunus yedoensis (Velmurugan et al 2015), Clerodendrum phlomidis (Sriranjani et al 2016), and Dioscorea alata (Pugazhendhi et al 2016). The stability of the OPE-AgNPs synthesized under the optimized condition was analyzed by storing the samples at a temperature of ∼30°C for 6 months.…”

“…Figure 1d shows the spectral data for OPE-AgNPs at different mixing ratios of OPE and 1 mM AgNO 3 solution (1:1 to 1:10). At increasing OPE concentration, we noted an increase in SPR up to 1:5 ratio whereas at higher concentration, there was a sharp reduction and broadening of SPR around 435 nm and a small precipitation in reaction mixture was observed (see also Kora et al 2010;Venkatpurwar and Pokharkar 2011;Velmurugan et al 2015). Considering the above results, the optimal parameters were incubation at room temperature, initial pH 4.5, AgNO 3 concentration of 1.0 mM, and OPE/AgNO 3 ratio 1:5, and then they were used in subsequent experiments.…”
