Phyto‐fabrication, purification, characterisation, optimisation, and biological competence of nano‐silver

Abstract: Published studies indicate that virtually any kind of botanical material can be exploited to make biocompatible, safe, and cost-effective silver nanoparticles. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that plants possess active bio-ingredients that function as powerful reducing and coating agents for Agþ. In this respect, a phytomediation method provides favourable monodisperse, crystalline, and spherical particles that can be easily purified by ultra-centrifugation. However, the characteristics of the particl… Show more

“…From the documented data, it was analyzed that the highest peak absorbance, i.e., ƛ max for green AgNPs, lies in the range of 350-500 nm. The ƛ max peak observed between 400 and 450 intensity corresponds to the presence of active polyphenols in plant extracts and excitation of reduced silver upon absorbance of UV-Vis rays [30].…”

“…In United Arab Emirates, the plant decoction is used to treat several health ailments, including diabetes mellitus, fever, sore throat, inflammatory conditions, and helminthiasis [41]. The leaves of R. stricta are traditionally used as a purported bitter tonic [42,43] and cure for syphilis [42], chronic rheumatism [42], and associated forms of discomfort [41]. Branches are used as toothbrushes to alleviate toothaches [44].…”

“…From the standpoint of the concept of economic and mathematical modeling, in order to meet the requirements for the nutrient composition and minerals in the grocery basket for a teenager, parents try to spend minimal money on purchased products. Meanwhile, they try to consider the rates of rational nutrition and get the opportunity to design food products with programmed functional and specialized characteristics [17][18][19][20][21][22].…”
