“…The viscosities of neat AG solution (2% (w/v)) as the control and the solutions of different batches of alginate/ starch (AG/S) blends (600 ml) were determined using an LVDV-I Prime viscometer (Brookfield) with a spindle no. 64 using a mixing speed of 100 rpm at 25 C. 32 The tests were run in triplicate for each solution, and average values were calculated.…”

“…The 1 H NMR spectrum of E 3 representing the uronic acid sequence is depicted in Figure 5 . The peak at 5.03 ppm was associated with H 1 of α-l-guluronic acid [ 106 , 108 ]. The presence of M units in the extract was indicated through an intense peak at 4.62 ppm, which was assigned to β-d-mannuronic acid residues [ 106 , 108 ].…”

“…Hydrocolloid was prepared by dissolving SA (15–75 g) and HA (75–15 g) in 100 ml deionized water under control heating (60°C, 300 rpm) and continuous stirring for 30 min. The range of film‐forming materials was selected based on previous studies according to Tran, Paul, Minh, Penta, and Quan (2020), Kok and Wong (2018), Gheorghita, Gutt, and Amariei (2020), and a series of trial experiments. The two solutions are mixed in a certain proportion to obtain the mixed membrane solution, which is stirred uniformly and poured into the plastic plates (14.5 × 2.0 cm) mold, the composite gel was obtained by freeze–thaw treatment 0–4 cycle (freezing at −18°C for 24 hr and thawing at room temperature for 12 hr for one freeze–thaw cycle).…”
