“…Igualmente, se ha observado una relación directa entre fitness cardiorrespiratorio y calidad de vida (Gálvez et al, 2015a), CF y autoestima (Weiss, McAulley, Ebbeck y Wiese, 1990), CF y autoconcepto multidimensional (Rodríguez-García et al, 2014; y CF y satisfacción vital (Jiménez et al, 2013). En otros estudios, sin embargo, no se ha observado una asociación consistente entre estas variables.…”

“…There are many previous studies that have shown the positive effect of different fitness interventions on obesity patients [83]. Many of them have related physical fitness and/or overweight to different aspects, such as self-concept [84], bullying [85], emotional well-being [86], barriers to physical activity [87] or HRQoL [88]. However, no studies have evaluated and interrelated all the aspects mentioned above and their influence on overweight, motricity and well-being in children and youth, using the results obtained to guide possible multidisciplinary interventions and to monitor them.…”

“…Recent studies from different scientific fields emphasize the relevance of SC as one of the predictors of success in academic performance, social relationships or in the performance of physical activity (PA) (Moreno, Ángel, Castañeda, Castelblanco, López, & Medina, 2011;Rodríguez-García et al, 2014;Rosa-Guillamón, García-Cantó, Rodríguez-García, & Pérez-Soto, 2017a) being, in turn, one of the psychological constructs most analysed in relation to PA and sport (Guillén & Ramírez, 2011;Moreno, Cervelló, & Moreno, 2008;Rodríguez-García et al, 2015). Several studies show that SC predicts the intensity of PA (Fraile & Catalina, 2013;Garn et al, 2016;Kyle, Hernández-Mendo, Reigal-Garrido, & Morales-Sánchez, 2016; VOLUME 14 | ISSUE 3 | 2019 | 517 Murgui, García, & García, 2016;Sánchez-Alcaraz & Gómez-Mármol, 2014).…”
