Photometric properties of piles of glass plates: retrospective

Abstract: Stacked glass plates have discreetly accompanied the understanding of light since the origins of modern optics. They were studied by Bouguer, Lambert, Brewster, Arago, Stokes, Rayleigh, and many others, whose successive works progressively refined the predictive formulas of the reflectance and transmittance of piles of glass plates as a function of the number of plates and the angle of incidence by considering the decay of light flux by absorption, the multiple reflections between plates, the change in the deg… Show more

“…"Educational research and development is a process used to develop and validate educational products" (Borg and Gall; 1989:730). R&D is a process or step for developing a new product or improving an existing product [5]. The products referred to in this context are not necessarily hardware (books, modules, learning aids for classrooms and laboratories), but software (software) such as data processing programs for learning in classrooms and libraries.…”

“…This is because the principle of the tool used is not to see the reflected light from different angles of incidence and different concentrates. Due to the limitations of the tool, the data obtained is less accurate [4][5].…”

“…In a review of physics, refractive index is the ability of light propagation of light through a substance in terms of the state of the molecules that make up the substance [7]. Measurement of the refractive index is important because it relates to physical parameters such as temperature, solution concentration, and others [8].…”
