Photoinduced Effect in α-Alumina: Characterization by TSEE Method

Abstract: A study of Thermally Stimulated Exoelectron Emission (TSEE) obtained from α‐alumina samples after X‐ray irradiation at 300 K followed by UV excitation at 77 K is reported. The observed results, called photoinduced TSEE (PITSEE) are compared with similar phenomena occurring in thermoluminescence (PITL) and thermally stimulated conductivity (PITSC).
