“…In spite of the large number of publications, regarding the synthetic applications of polyphosphoric acid (PPA) for cyclization reaction [12,13], little has been established concerning the use of Eaton's reagent [14][15][16]. This reagent is easily prepared by dissolving phosphorus pentoxide in methanesulfonic acid (CH 3 SO 3 H) [12].…”

“…In coordination chemistry, the nitrogen and sulfur atoms of 1,3,4-thiadiazole can act as ligands in coordination complexes that include transition metals. 1,3,4-Thiadiazoles and their heterocyclic derivatives exhibit many biological actions, including antibacterial, [33,34] antiviral, [35] anti-inflammatory, [36,37] and antioxidant [38] properties. 1,3,4-Thiadiazole derivatives demonstrate remarkable effectiveness against malignant tumors, and numerous investigations have been carried out on diverse types of cancer.…”

“…In recent years, phosphorus pentoxide has been widely used to promote various organic transformations. 16 The advantages are that it is an inexpensive and selective reagent, which gives high yields in simple operations under solvent-free conditions and in short reaction times. 17 P 2 O 5 /silica gel is stable and can be kept at room temperature for months without losing its activity.…”
