Phase Wise Supply Chain Model of EOQ with Normal Life Time for Queued Customers: A Computational Approach

Abstract: In this paper, we mainly aim to compute the optimal inventory in the phase wise supply chain for queued customers in the interval of lower and upper bounds with particular life of the items. Important performance measures such as total optimal cost of the system and total expected delivery have also been computed by applying the dynamic programming and Drichlet theorem. Finally, numerical demonstration and sensitivity analysis have also been presented to gain the better perspective of the model.

“…After Naddor, other works have appeared in the literature that consider this type of demand. For example, we can cite the articles by Datta and Pal (1988); Singh et al (2009); Rajeswari and Vanjikkodi (2011); Mishra and Singh (2013); and Mandal and Islam (2015). In all these papers, it is assumed that the length of the inventory cycle is known and fixed.…”

“…Some of them are given as call blocking, packet discarding, packet blocking and packet scheduling. Mishra and Mishra [4] attempted an economic order quantity model for queued customers with normal life time of inventory flowing in supply chain. Mishra and Singh [5] worked on an economic order quantity (EOQ) model with quadratic deterioration items allowing shortages for computing the total optimal cost.…”
