“…[23]. The assignations of IR bands in some other metal iodates were also studied by others [24][25][26]. Santha and Nayar [24] recorded IR spectrum of KIO 3 ·Te(OH) 6 , and the authors assigned the IR bands at 370 and 395 cm −1 to v 2 vibration; 735 cm −1 to v 1 vibration; 750 and 799 cm −1 to v 3 vibration.…”

“…The IR bands observed at 228 cm −1 and lower wave numbers were considered in terms of transitional and rotational modes in IO 3 − . Pracht and Lutz [25] assigned IR bands in the spectrum of Co(IO 3 ) 3 at 424 and 396 cm −1 to v 2 ; 352 and 332 cm −1 to v 4 ; 759 cm −1 to v IO vibration, whereas, vibrations at 264 and lower wave numbers were assigned to transitional (T ) modes. In the case of Zn(IO 3 ) 2 ·2H 2 O [26] the IR band at 436 cm −1 , shoulder at 380 cm −1 and the bands at 352 and 333 cm −1 were assigned to δ IO 3 − (v 2 + v 4 ) vibrations, whereas, the IR bands at 271 and lower wave numbers were assigned to T modes; v IO vibration was located at 759 cm −1 .…”

“…2a and b). 15 On the other hand, the features of the I L 3 -edge XANES spectrum of an iodate substituted Ca-HA phase are similar to those of NaIO 3 , meaning that the oxidation state of the iodine is the same in both cases (see Fig. 2c).…”

“…In a variety of iodate crystals [11][12][13], the four fundamental frequencies of the pyramidal iodate ion, both infrared and Raman active, have been observed including ν 1 (symmetric stretching) at 630-780 cm −1 , ν 2 (symmetric bending) at 350-400 cm −1 , ν 3 (asymmetrical stretching) at 730-820 cm −1 , and ν 4 (asymmetric bending) at about 330 cm −1 . Our IR measurements of The IR spectra confirmed the existence of MoO 6 6− and IO 3 − groups, consistent with the results obtained from the singlecrystal X-ray structural analysis to be discussed below.…”
