Personal protective equipment use in laparoscopy during COVID-19

Abstract: COVID-19 pandemic mandates all the laparoscopic surgeons to don the personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent getting infected in the operation theatre. PPE has few inherent problems which makes the surgery extremely challenging for all the surgeons. Dehydration and profuse sweating along with breathing difficulty due to N95 mask with PPE increases the chances of committing surgical error during laparoscopy.
