Abstract. Jorong Sungai Dadok is an administrative area under Nagari Koto Tinggi. In Jorong, the Dadok River consists of the division of areas based on Minangkabau customs, namely there are several hamlets with settlement centers and community activities located in Koto called Kampung Sarugo. The village is the oldest village in Koto Tinggi and consists of tribes that coexist harmoniously. So that in its territory in one koto consists of several gadang houses, that in the concept of Kampuang or the settlement of the historical gadang house is intended for one tribe, but in Kampung Sarugo there are several tribes with their rumah gadang. The purpose of this study is to identify spatial patterns and settlement patterns. The approach method used is the Exploratory approach method with the aim of identifying spatial patterns and settlements. The conclusion is basically that the concept of the Jorong Dadok River space pattern is an administrative boundary of the area in which there are four hamlet areas, namely Lake, Mudiak Dadok, Padang Jungkek and kampung Tingga surrounded by Taratak and the four hamlets are centered on Koto or what is referred to as Kampung Sarugo as the center of community activities and activities in Jorong Sungai Dadok. Sarugo village as a traditional village in it contains local knowledge and wisdom, which is seen in the matrilineal kinship system, art, traditional ceremonies and physical settlement elements in the form of rumah gadang, balai adat, rangkiang lasuang, cibuak and others. Abstrak. Jorong Sungai Dadok merupakan wilayah administrasi dibawah Nagari Koto Tinggi. Didalam Jorong Sungai Dadok terdiri atas pembagian wilayah berdasarkan adat istiadat Minangkabau yakni terdapat beberapa dusun dengan pusat permukiman dan kegiatan masyarakatnya berada di Koto yang dinamakan Kampung Sarugo. Kampung tersebut merupakan kampung tertua yang ada di Koto Tinggi dan didalamnya terdiri atas suku-suku yang hidup berdampingan secara harmonis. Sehingga dalam wilayahnya dalam satu koto terdiri atas beberapa rumah gadang, bahwa secara konsep Kampuang atau pemukiman rumah gadang sejarahnya itu diperuntukan untuk satu suku, akan tetapi di Kampung Sarugo ini terdapat beberapa suku dengan rumah gadangnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pola ruang dan pola permukiman. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu metode pendekatan Eksploratif dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pola ruang dan permukiman. Kesimpulannya adalah Pada dasarnya bahwa konsep pola ruang Jorong Sungai Dadok merupakan suatu batasan administrasi wilayah yang didalamnya terdapat empat wilayah dusun yakni Danau, Mudiak Dadok, Padang Jungkek dan Kampung Tingga yang dikelilingi oleh Taratak dan keempat dusun tersebut berpusat pada Koto atau yang disebut sebagai Kampung Sarugo sebagai pusat aktivitas dan kegiatan masyarakat di Jorong Sungai Dadok. Kampung Sarugo sebagai kampung adat didalamnya terkandung pengetahuan dan kearifan lokal yakni terlihat dalam sistem kekerabatan matrilineal, kesenian, upacara adat dan elemen permukiman fisik yakni berupa rumah gadang, balai adat, rangkiang lasuang, cibuak dan lainya.

Social processes that result in social migration often result in various social problems, such as disintegration between local residents and immigrants, which in the end leads to social inequality between local residents and immigrants. With the context of the research in the village of Ranto Panyang Timur Aceh Barat District, and applying descriptive qualitative this study indicated that the process of social inequality in the coastal fishermen community at Ranto Panyang Timur Village proceed since they came to that village, and the forms of the inequality are the neglect and discrimination in the context of social treatment and service from Keuchik (the head of the village) and his official staff. The factors that affect the social inequality between the indigenous residents and the fisherman who were relocated at Ranto Panyang Timur Village, West Aceh Regency were the least committed Keuchik’s, unresponsive village officials, and unfair treatment by the village officials in terms of services, and provide aid to the people who were relocated at Ranto Panyang Timur Village.

Semarang has developed as a large coastal city with an important port due to its strategic and unique position. This strategic and unique position is shown by the hills at the top of the city such as Gajah Mungkur, Candi, Mrican, Mugas, Mount Sawo, Simongan and others as well as lowlands at the bottom of the city. One of the important historical ethnic villages to be appointed is Kampung Kauman, Semarang, which has a distinctive history related to the existence of the Great Mosque of Semarang. is an ancient village inhabited by local residents which began to be awakened during the reign of Ki Ageng Padang Aran. The Great Mosque of Semarang, although it is quite an old mosque, is the first mosque in the city of Semarang which was founded by Ki Ageng Padang Aran. The Great Mosque of Semarang is located in the old Semarang square complex which has the same pattern as Javanese city squares in general. There are many opinions regarding the term "kauman". There is an opinion that "kauman" comes from the word: nggone wong qoum (place of the clans), pakauman (place of residence of the clans), sing aman (safe group/people) or there is also the opinion of qo'um muddin (Islamic religious leader). Based on the opinions described above, "kauman" contains the meaning of the residence of the scholars. This study aims to examine the sustainability of residential spaces in Kauman village, both physical and non-physical characteristics and aims to optimize the potential of existing villages for urban development planning. This research uses a descriptive method based on empirical facts. The results of the Kauman Village Residential Spatial Sustainability Research are then used as needed, including development strategies and future city government decisions.
