Land transportation is a vital component of urbanization to promote economic activities in the society. But land transportation is also one of the major contributors of Lead (Pb) contamination in urban soils that might affect the health of the population. This study aims to look at the perspective of land transportation influence to spatial distribution of Pb in metropolitan Yogyakarta. We obtained 168 unique samples in grid manner and quantified its Pb concentration using ICP-AES. In relation, Inverse distance weighted (IDW) geostatistical technique is utilized to produce a spatial distribution map of Pb concentration and correlated to road density, traffic points, and transportation points perspective as a context of influence. The findings show that Yogyakarta City as highly urbanized and more land transportation activities compared to Sleman and Bantul regencies is a place of Pb contamination hotspots. Traffic areas, and Transport areas (e.g., fuel station, terminals, stopover hubs) are amplifying components of land transportation in the context of influence. Thus, land transportation sustainable urban planning is critical to address its growing influence in Pb spatial distribution in urban that might lead to population health issues upon circulating through food, air-breathing, or drinking.

Transformasi desa ditandai dengan adanya pergeseran karakteristik dari wilayah perdesaan menjadi perkotaan. Hubungan desa-kota yang semakin erat juga mendorong terjadinya aglomerasi daerah pada wilayah peri-urban. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengkaji transformasi desa berdasarkan aspek tipologi zona dan kondisi sosial-ekonomi masyarakat. Tipologi zona kawasan perdesaan yang dimaksud berdasarkan Zona Wilayah Peri-Urban dikategorikan menjadi tiga, yaitu zona peri-urban primer, zona peri-urban sekunder, dan zona rural peri-urban. Data yang digunakan melitputi data komposisi guna lahan dengan menggunakan data citra satelit tahun 2000, 2010, dan 2020, aksesibilitas, infrastruktur, kependudukan, dan struktur ekonomi masyarakat. Analisis yang dilakukan adalah analisis perubahan penggunaan lahan, analisis tipologi transformasi desa, dan analisis implikasi transformasi desa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total dari 40 desa di wilayah studi, terdapat 6 desa yang bertransformasi dan mengalami perubahan tipologi selama 10 tahun terakhir. Keenam desa ini semula masuk dalam tipologi zona rural peri-urban pada tahun 2010 berubah menjadi zona peri-urban sekunder pada tahun 2020. Implikasi dari tranformasi yang tejadi pada 6 desa tersebut adalah menurunnya jumlah keluarga petani, jumlah penduduk pendatang tinggi, dan pendapatan bulanan yang sudah diatas Upah Minimum Rata-Rata. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat mendapat dampak yang positif dari transformasi desa yang terjadi di wilayah studi.

Globally, currently more than 50 percent of the world's population lives in urban areas. It is projected that 70 percent of the world's population will live in cities by 2050. Given the sheer scale of urbanization and its environmental implications, it is important to consider the interrelationships between urban and rural contexts in an integrated manner. Achieving sustainable development requires priorities and the implementation of tailored policies in both urban and rural areas. One way that can be done is to strengthen rural cultural values in communities and indigenous peoples. In this study, the case study raised is the cultural value of the Samin Bojonegoro community in maintaining cultural values and preventing the flow of urbanization of its population. The creation of a livable environment through the cultural values of the Samin community will be raised through this research through ethnographic approach with synchronic and diachronic presentation. As a result The Samin community, which is rooted in the culture of an agrarian society, has not changed much in terms of vegetation, land use, and cultural activities. This has an impact on environmental sustainability and cultural establishment so that it seems as if it has a border from outside influences while also protecting cities from urbanization flows and environmental burdens
