Likevel kunne det vaert interessant å se flere originalkilder fra nabolandenes utenriksministerier og presidenter som snakker om Afghanistan som en trussel eller mulighet, for å se hvordan disse landene representerer Afghanistan og hvordan dette bidrar til å konstruere disse landenes identitet internasjonalt (se for eksempel Fjaestad & Kjaernet 2014). Et slikt perspektiv kunne vist at nabolandenes politikk ovenfor Kabul ikke kun har å gjøre med deres vilje og evne til å handle i Afghanistan Á men også hvordan disse aktørene ser på Afghanistan og afghanerne.…”
