About 1.6 billion hectare area of acid sulfate soils is at Mekong Delta of Vietnam, and Duong mandarin fruits are valued for the fresh market due to the easy peeling, attractive flavor, and health and nutritional properties; thereby, the investigation on early performance of Duong mandarin on three rootstock under acid sulfate soil fields (pH below 4) at Mekong Delta of Vietnam was undertaken from 2009 to 2012 for determination of the most promising scion stock combination of Duong mandarin, which introduced to growers for expanding citrus production to increase in income of farmers, and helping to use the sustainable and efficient land resource at acid sulfate soil region of Mekong Delta. Primary results showed that Duong mandarin grafted on Mat orange, Tau lemon and Carrizo citrange were significant differenence in vegetative parameters, fruit yield and quality. It proved that Duong mandarin trees grafted on Tau lemon were better growth and development on acid sulfate soil fields with below 4 pH in soil and water suspension of 1:2.5 ratio) as compared to those grafted on Mat orange and Carrizo citrange rootstocks; whereby, that induced trees with 171.48 cm height, 6.65 m3 canopy volume and 51.84 mm trunk diameter, 1.08 scion/ stock ratio in third year after growing. Moreover, Duong mandarin trees grafted on Tau lemon were with spreading growth performance. In regarding to fruit yield and quality, Duong mandarin trees grafted on Tau lemon produced highest fruit yield of 9.21 kg per tree per year in third year after planting, and fruit with 115.30g weight, 8.85 brix juice, thinner and somewhat easy peel rind.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of six rootstocks on vegetative growth, production and fruit quality of Lee tangelo for eleven growing seasons in Butiá, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The evaluated rootstocks were: Swingle citrumelo, Caipira sweet orange, Troyer citrange, Rangpur lime, Volkamer lemon and Flying Dragon trifoliate orange. Trees grafted on Flying Dragon trifoliate orange and Volkamer lemon developed small canopy of spheroidal shape, while on the other rootstocks the canopy shape was ellipsoid. Fruit quality of Lee tangelo on all rootstocks was commercially appropriate, however the trees grafted on Volkamer lemon and Rangpur lime produced fruits with lower internal quality. Flying Dragon trifoliate orange and Volkamer lemon increased yield efficiency of the scion. The best yields for Lee tangelo was obtained on the Troyer citrange, Caipira sweet orange, Swingle citrumelo and Rangpur lime. Performance horticultural do tangeleirro Lee enxertado em seis porta-enxertos no Sul do Brasil RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o desempenho de seis porta-enxertos no crescimento vegetativo, produção e qualidade do fruto de tangeleiro Lee, por onze anos agrícolas em Butiá, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Os porta-enxertos avaliados foram: citrumeleiro Swingle, laranjeira doce Caipira, citrangeiro Troyer, limoeiro Cravo, limoeiro Volkameriano e trifoliateiro Flying Dragon. As plantas enxertadas em Flying Dragon e em limoeiro Volkameriano desenvolveram copa pequena de formato esferoidal, enquanto que nos outros porta-enxertos o formato da copa foi a elipsoide. RESUMO Apoda drástica é uma alternativa de controle recomendada para pomares onde há incidência de cancro cítrico (Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri). Objetivou-se avaliar a influência de seis porta-enxertos no crescimento, produção e qualidade dos frutos de laranjeira-de-umbigo 'Monte Parnaso' (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osb.), após a realização de poda drástica para erradicação do cancro cítrico. O delineamento foi em blocos ao acaso, com seis tratamentos e quatro repetições. Os porta-enxertos testados foram: laranjeira 'Caipira' (C. sinensis (L.) Osb.), limoeiros 'Volkameriano' (C. volkameriana Pasq.) e 'Cravo' (C. limonia Osb.), citrumeleiro 'Swingle' (C. paradisi Macf. × Poncirus trifoliata (L.) Raf.), tangerineira 'Sunki'(C. sunki Hort. ex Tan.) e citrangeiro 'Troyer'(C. sinensis × P. trifoliata). Foram avaliadas variáveis referentes ao tamanho das plantas, produção e qualidade dos frutos.A maior produção acumulada foi obtida com 'Cravo', 'Volkameriano' e 'Sunki'. 'Cravo' e 'Volkameriano' induziram maior eficiência produtiva, frutos de maior massa média e menor queda de frutos pré-colheita. Todos os porta-enxertos induziram produção de frutos de alta qualidade e tamanhos de copa semelhantes.
