Performance of new BOC-AW-modulated signals for GNSS system

Abstract: In this paper, we propose efficient signal waveforms (WFs) with optimized spectrum for multipath (MP) mitigation and jamming reduction in global navigation satellite system. These WFs are based on the use of sine-phased binary offset carrier (BOC) with adjustable width (BOC-AW). They are generated by adjusting the width of the three-level WF {−1, 0, 1}. By exploiting the three-level BOC-AW subcarriers in sine-phasing signal model, we developed several forms of BOC-AW by means of superposition and width adjustm… Show more

“…Main algorithms at present against suppressing method involve time/domain filtering, spatial filtering and joint filtering technology, which are gradually maturing. And in the latter one, spoofing jamming, the jammer transmits the original satellite signal, or generates a similar signal locally by itself, so that the receiver is cheated by the signal with a different location and time information from the real signal [1]. If this interference signal is not detected and removed in time, it will lead to a great impact on the receiver's security.…”

“…CBOC(6, 1, 1/11) is an important implementation method, where 1/11 denotes the percentage of power of BOC(6, 1) with respect to the total signal CBOC power. The PSD of CBOC(6, 1, 1/11) [13][14][15][16] is given by…”
