Performance modeling and benchmarking of green supply chain management

Abstract: Purpose Based on the existing literature in the field of green supply chain management (GSCM), the purpose of this paper is to find essential to conceptualize and develop an efficient appraisement platform for the purpose of benchmarking green alternative in supply chain network. Design/methodology/approach The authors explored multiple approaches, i.e. Višekriterijumsko kompromisno rangiranje (VIKOR), simple additive weighting (SAW) and grey relational analysis (GRA) by amalgamating fuzzy sets theory to sel… Show more

“…Chakraborty et al (2018) used the fuzzy ANP to identify the weights of sub-issues, according to the causal relations obtained by the DEMATEL method which developed the causal framework among the identified strategical and tactical issues for setting up a reverse SC. Sahu et al (2018) used the fuzzy VIKOR, SAW and grey relation analysis to select the optimal alternative for GSCM. Wu et al (2017) used the fuzzy Delphi method to screen unnecessary attributes, and then applied the fuzzy DEMATEL and ANP to evaluate the SC agility.…”

“…provided a theoretical basis to enhance the understanding of responsible consumption and production. Sahu et al (2018) developed an appraisement platform to benchmark green alternatives in an SC network. Salam et al (2017) analyzed different types of SC uncertainties and suggested tactics to address unexpected contingencies for providing superior operational performance.…”

“…Certainly, from the environmental point of view, issues related to the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere or waste management will be of great importance in future research (Arampantzi and Minis, 2017). The application of management theory and its use to create sustainable supply chains will also play a major role in research (Carter, and Washispack, 2018 SSCM aspects of future research, including its evaluation, include issues related to SSCM: logistics, reverse logistics, performance assessment, production, supplier selection and relations, human resource management, IT systems (Sahu, Narang, Rajput, and Sahu, 2018;Singh and Trivedi, 2016). Sustainable supply chain management practices show that addressing social issues can include: application of CSR codes, ethical treatment of employees and contractors, and not employing children.…”

“…In fact, the proposed model evaluates and ranks the suppliers according to their risks of economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Sahu et al (2018) developed an efficient appraisement platform for the purpose of benchmarking a green alternative in the supply chain network. They applied (VIKOR), simple additive weighting and gray relational analysis by amalgamating fuzzy sets theory to select the most appropriate alternative for GSCM.…”
