Global Tendency and Frontiers of Research on Myopia From 1900 to 2020: A Bibliometrics Analysis

Background:Myopia is one of the most common causes of vision impairment in children and adults and has become a public health priority with its growing prevalence worldwide. This study aims to identify and evaluate the global trends in myopia research of the past century and visualize the frontiers using bibliometric analysis.MethodsThe literature search was conducted on the Web of Science for myopia studies published between 1900 and 2020. Retrieved publications were analyzed in-depth by the annual publication number, prolific countries and institutions, core author and journal, and the number of citations through descriptive statistics. Collaboration networks and keywords burst were visualized by VOSviewer and CiteSpace. Myopia citation network was visualized using CitNetExplorer.ResultsIn total, 11,172 publications on myopia were retrieved from 1900 to 2020, with most published by the United States. Saw SM, from the National University of Singapore, contributed the most publications and citations. Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science was the journal with highest number of citations. Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery with the maximum number of publications. The top 10 cited papers mainly focused on the epidemiology of myopia. Previous research emphasized myopia-associated experimental animal models, while recent keywords include “SMILE” and “myopia control” with the stronger burst, indicating a shift of concern from etiology to therapy and coincided with the global increment of incidence. Document citation network was clustered into six groups: “prevalence and risk factors of myopia,” “surgical control of myopia,” “pathogenesis of myopia,” “optical interventions of myopia,” “myopia and glaucoma,” and “pathological myopia.”ConclusionsBibliometrics analysis in this study could help scholars comprehend global trends of myopia research frontiers better. Hundred years of myopia research were clustered into six groups, among which “prevalence and risk factors of myopia” and “surgical control of myopia” were the largest groups. With the increasing prevalence of myopia, interventions of myopia control are a potential research hotspot and pressing public health issue.

International laws and increasing consumer awareness have led to drastic changes in traditional supply chain network designs. Moreover, because of environmental and social requirements, traditional supply chain networks have changed to sustainable supply chain networks. On the other hand, reverse logistics can be effective in terms of environmental and economic aspects, so the design of the supply chain network as a closed loop is necessary. In addition, customers have a demand for different products with different quality levels. Considering different types of customers with a variety of consumption trends can be a challenging issue, and is addressed in this study. The main contributions of this research are considering different quality levels for products as well as different tendencies of customers towards environmental issues. In this study, a sustainable closed-loop supply chain model is designed that seeks to balance economic, environmental, and social responsibilities. In this paper, costs and customer demands for different types of products at different quality levels are considered under uncertain conditions using a robust possibilistic programming method. The proposed multi-objective model is solved using the Augmented Epsilon Constraint (AEC) method that provides an efficient set of solutions for all decision-making levels. The results show that the robust possibilistic programming method is more effective in dealing with uncertainties than the possibilistic programming method.

Aiming at the problem of massive data storage and transaction authority in the blockchain system in the data sharing transaction scenario, this paper proposes a blockchain system for the controllable sharing transaction of massive data. By designing the blockchain system model of the consortium chain and private chain, reconstructing the data structure of the block, and introducing the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) technology, we adopt the off-chain storage method to solve the problem of high cost caused by too much data carried by the block. The isolation control of data resource transactions is realized by introducing identity authentication and channel mechanism, which meets the needs of different subjects for confidentiality of transaction data information. From the analysis results of cold chain logistics efficiency, in the five years from 2017 to 2021, the comprehensive cold chain logistics efficiency, pure technology cold chain logistics efficiency, and scale cold chain logistics efficiency of agricultural product cold chain logistics in a certain region have all reached above 0.9. The return to scale remains unchanged, and the cold chain logistics resources have been effectively allocated and reasonably utilized. The value of comprehensive cold chain logistics efficiency, pure technology cold chain logistics efficiency, and scale cold chain logistics efficiency in a certain month is less than 1, which means that the cold chain logistics efficiency is weak or ineffective. This shows that in these years, the infrastructure investment, cold chain technical support, and management level related to the cold chain logistics of agricultural products in a certain region need to be strengthened, and it is necessary to adjust the input-output structure and allocate resources reasonably. From 2018 to 2021, the total factor productivity of agricultural product cold chain logistics in a certain region is greater than 0.85, indicating that the level of total factor productivity is relatively high during this time period, and the increase in the efficiency of technical cold chain logistics is the main reason for the increase in total factor productivity.
