Perforating necrobiosis lipoidica in an old surgical scar

Abstract: Necrobiosis lipoidica (NL) is an idiopathic granulomatous disease, frequently associated with diabetes mellitus. Histologically, it is characterized by palisaded granulomas involving the deep dermis, but the epidermis is usually spared.
