Show more

“…This rate is similar to the estimate of 75.0% vaccination coverage against hepatitis B among American hospital HWs. 18 The results also approach those observed among hospital workers (73.5%), 6 laboratory professionals (74.5%), 17 dentists (75.0%) 15 and workers who were victims of accidents with biological material (72.8%) in Brazil. 1 However, vaccinal coverage in some subgroups may reach lower frequencies, for example 64.6% among primary care HWs in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina 11 and 65.6% of the anesthesiologists in Goiânia, GO.…”

“…genotype. Previous studies done in 2008-2009 and 2013-14 in the north or center of the country, with samples from prisoners, pregnant women, or blood donors reported genotype D as the most prevalent [18][19][20][21][22][23]. However, none of these studies used phylogenetic analysis to classify the HBV strains.…”

“…Genotype E was referred as more common in Central-Southern (10-62%) than in Northern Portugal (1-4%) [18][19][20][21][22]. Genotypes C and F have been reported in the North of the country on rare occasions [23]. In addition to this, previously unpublished data of a small patient population of Hospital Santa Maria in Lisbon indicated the circulation of minority genotypes such as B, C and F [24].…”
