Perfil epidemiológico de casos de hanseníases no município de Paragominas-PA

Abstract

Leprosy is a chronic infectious contagious disease that is caused by Mycobacterium leprae, which affects the skin, causing nerve sensitivity change, and can lead to motor disability. The objective of this research was to analyze the epidemiological profile of leprosy cases in the municipality of Paragominas, from 2010 to 2018. The method applied was deductive, with quantitative and qualitative approach, observational in nature. It was associated with this method, the survey of documentary data published between 2009 and 2018 in open access electronic links such as SciELO, Ministry of Health, Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), and the geographical administrative plant of the municipality of Paragominas. The analysis of the data obtained indicated that the highest rate of leprosy occurred in the neighborhoods Laércio Cabeline (90 = 10.46%), Colônia/Fazenda (76 = 8.83%), Jardim Atlântico (74 = 8.60%), Promissão Loteamento III (69 = 8.02%), Jaderlândia (68 = 7.90%); in relation to the gender of those affected by this disease, the analysis of the data indicated that the male gender (500=58.13%) is the most affected; as for the age group, the highest incidence was between 31 and 40 years old, the highest incidence was between 31 and 40 years old. Regarding the educational level, the most affected have low education and reside in DAs furthest from the city center. Therefore, it is necessary to extend the care for diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients with M. leprae whose residence is far from the Basic Health Units.RESUMO A hanseníase é uma doença crônica infecto contagiosa causada pela Mycobacterium leprae, a qual afeta a pele, causando alteração de sensibilidade dos nervos, e pode levar a incapacidade motora. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar o perfil epidemiológico dos casos de hanseníase no município de Paragominas, no período de 2010 a 2018. O método aplicado foi o dedutivo, com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, de natureza observativa. Associou-se a este método, o levantamento de dados documentais publicados entre 2009 a 2018 em links eletrônicos de acesso livre como SciELO, Ministério da Saúde, Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento do Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), além da planta geográfica administrativa do município de Paragominas para identificação dos Bairros (DAs). A análise dos dados obtidos indicou que o maior índice de hanseníase ocorreu nos DAs Laércio Cabeline (90 = 10,46%), Colônia/Fazenda (76 = 8,83%), Jardim Atlântico (74 = 8,60%), Promissão Loteamento III (69 = 8,02%), Jaderlândia (68 = 7,90%); em relação ao gênero dos afetados por essa enfermidade, a análise dos dados indicou que o sexo masculino (500 = 58,13%) é o mais afetado; quanto a faixa etária, maior incidência foi entre 31 a 40 anos; quanto ao grau de escolaridade, os mais afetados possuem baixa escolaridade e residem em DAs mais afastados do centro da cidade.
