Perfil dos pacientes internados em unidade de terapia intensiva não-COVID

Abstract

Identificar o perfil dos pacientes admitidos em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva não COVID e correlacionar com a carga de trabalho dos profissionais de enfermagem antes e durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, de abordagem quantitativa, com coleta de dados a partir de relatórios gerenciais, de um Hospital Universitário de alta complexidade. Evidenciou-se um aumento significativo no número de pacientes internados por causas cardiovasculares. Quanto à carga de trabalho, observou-se uma redução significativa durante a pandemia, sendo maior a carga de trabalho com pacientes que evoluíram à óbito, além de um aumento significativo da carga de trabalho quanto maior o tempo de internação. O estudo mostrou que, durante a pandemia, a carga de trabalho da equipe de enfermagem na UTI foi menor e identificou-se o aumento das internações de causas cardiovasculares neste período.

 Profile of patients hospitalized in non-COVID intensive care unit
 Abstract: To identify the profile of patients admitted to a non-COVID Intensive Care Unit and correlate it with the workload of nursing professionals before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach, with data collection from management reports, from a highly complex University Hospital. There was a significant increase in the number of patients hospitalized for cardiovascular causes. As for the workload, there was a significant reduction during the pandemic, with the greater the workload with patients who died, in addition to a significant increase in the workload the longer the hospitalization time. The study showed that, during the pandemic, the workload of the nursing team in the ICU was lower and an increase in hospitalizations for cardiovascular causes was identified in this period.

 Resumen: Identificar el perfil de los pacientes ingresados en una Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos no COVID y correlacionarlo con la carga de trabajo de los profesionales de enfermería antes y durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Se trata de un estudio transversal, con abordaje cuantitativo, con recolección de datos a partir de informes de gestión, de un Hospital Universitario de alta complejidad. Hubo un aumento significativo en el número de pacientes hospitalizados por causas cardiovasculares. En cuanto a la carga de trabajo, hubo una reducción significativa durante la pandemia, siendo mayor la carga de trabajo con pacientes que fallecieron, además de un aumento significativo de la carga de trabajo cuanto mayor fue el tiempo de hospitalización. el estudio mostró que, durante la pandemia, la carga de trabajo del equipo de enfermería en la UTI fue menor y se identificó un aumento de las hospitalizaciones por causas cardiovasculares en este período.
