Today's global supply chain structure and organizations are characterized by high physical volume variation, information and financial flow exchanges with several amount of data from supplier to the final customer, as a consequence of Market changes and customer behavior impacting the supply chain and its different actors. As part of a systematic approach we will start our research by studying the supply chain risk assessments, evaluation and analyzing the different risks which impact the global performance of supply chain and the way for good management and monitoring using one of the proven methods as Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) which has been proposed for modeling and estimating intermittent demand data.

Gaps in internal audit function (IAF), such as internal audit quality (IAQ), began to be pointed out by studies carried out after Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act publication. As a subject still under development in the literature, this article seeks to delineate a research profile for the IAQ in the period from 1999 to 2021. To this end, a bibliometric profile on the subject was conducted, resulting in the identification of how the research area has progressed over the last 22 years, encompassing research clusters, main fields of study and citations networks. As a result, two maps were created: one based on text data and one based on bibliographic data.

Analysis of the MORT method applicability for risk management in supply chains

Although the Management Oversight and Risk Tree (MORT) method is considered a respected analytical procedure to investigate causes and contributing factors of accidents and incidents in different types of businesses, its application in Supply Chain Risk Management was not found in the literature (SCRM). Given this gap, the general objective of this research is to analyze the applicability of the MORT Method in SCRM. Methodologically, the research was supported by an in-depth case study in a cylinder requalification company located in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). The case study included document analysis, direct observation and structured interviews based on questions previously defined by the MORT Method. As the main theoretical contribution, the research applied, in an innovative way, the MORT Method in SCRM. As the main practical contribution, sequenced, detailed and exemplified steps were developed, so that the MORT Method can be reproduced by other professionals in supply chains. As a limitation, it is observed that the case study only covers the cylinder requalification process, focusing on endogenous risks and failing to address exogenous risks in the supply chain. As a main result, it was possible to identify all the factors that contributed to the damage to cylinder valves; damage that has the potential to have severe consequences for other companies in the supply chain.Keywords Supply chain risk management • SCRM • Supply chain management • Risk analysis • Management oversight and risk tree • MORT method
