“…As part of a larger mixed methods research study on PTSD and other occupational stress injuries among psychiatric workers in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador (Hilton et al, 2021), we gave survey participants the opportunity to respond to open‐ended items. In the current article, we focus on the items that invited respondents to clarify or add context to survey questions on potentially psychologically traumatic events, chronic stressors and PTSD symptoms.…”
