“…Selon les résultats de notre enquête, le taux de faible sentiment de contrôle (une des dimensions individuelles mesurées) est significativement plus élevé à Limoilou (24 †% des gens ont un sentiment de contrôle de soi faible à Limoilou, 17,3 †% à Portneuf et 16,4 †% à Charlesbourg; et 37 †% ont un sentiment de contrôle modéré à Limoilou, 42,3 †% à Portneuf et 41,6 †% à Charlesbourg). L'analyse multiniveaux que nous avons effectuée démontre l'existence d'une corréla-tion entre un faible sentiment de contrôle et une perception négative de son état de santé ainsi qu'avec plusieurs variables sociodémogra-phiques telles que l'âge, la scolarité et le fait de vivre seul (Pampalon et al, 2005b). Fait plus marquant, on constate également l'existence d'un « †effet Limoilou †» sur la perception d'un mauvais état de santé et d'un faible sentiment de contrôle, c'est-à-dire qu'indépendamment des caractéristiques sociodémographiques ou de l'unité de voisinage de résidence, le fait de demeurer à Limoilou intervient dans la perception de l'état de santé déclaré et le sentiment de contrôle.…”
