“…19 In a study conducted with women in the immediate postpartum period, little knowledge of them was observed regarding the pathology, treatment before and after delivery, causes, effects and consequences of the disease for the mother and baby. 20 Themes from the risk of mother-to-child transmission are unknown, for this, throughout pregnancy; there is a need to think about strategies to reduce the risk of vertical transmission, such as elective cesarean section, which has the ability to reduce risk of this transmission.
